Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 2026
Harbinger Standard is committed to making harbingerstandard.com accessible to all people, regardless of impairments, devices, or assistive technologies. We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. For US users, we are also committed to accessibility in accordance with Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. Although Harbinger Standard does not specifically direct its services at the EU/EEA market and does not consider itself a covered entity under the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) on that basis, we aim, as a matter of policy, to align our accessibility practices with its requirements as well, given that our audience includes readers from around the world.
1. Conformance Status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1, Level AA. Known limitations and remediation measures are described in Section 5.
2. Technical Specifications
HTML5 (semantic landmark elements), CSS3 (responsive design), JavaScript (progressively enhanced), WAI-ARIA 1.1.
3. Implemented Accessibility Features
Since July 2026, we also provide an interactive accessibility toolbar: a floating icon in the bottom-left corner of every page opens a panel where you can adjust text size in four steps, switch to a high-contrast display mode, underline all links, reduce animations and motion, and increase line and letter spacing for easier reading. Your selections are stored only in your own browser (never on our servers) and are applied automatically on return visits; a "Reset" button restores the defaults at any time.
Perceivable (Principle 1)
Alternative text on informative images (WCAG 1.1.1); text resizable to 200% without content loss (WCAG 1.4.4); contrast ratio ≥4.5:1 for normal text (WCAG 1.4.3); text spacing adjustments supported (WCAG 1.4.12); no seizure-triggering content (WCAG 2.3).
Operable (Principle 2)
Full keyboard accessibility (WCAG 2.1); no keyboard traps (WCAG 2.1.2); skip-to-main-content link (WCAG 2.4.1); unique page titles (WCAG 2.4.2); logical focus order (WCAG 2.4.3); visible focus indicators (WCAG 2.4.7); no time-limited interactions (WCAG 2.2).
Understandable (Principle 3)
Page language declared (lang="en", WCAG 3.1.1); consistent navigation position (WCAG 3.2.3); clear error messages in forms (WCAG 3.3.1).
Robust (Principle 4)
W3C-valid HTML (WCAG 4.1.1); correct ARIA roles, names, and states (WCAG 4.1.2); status messages via ARIA live regions (WCAG 4.1.3).
4. Known Limitations
Older imported articles may lack image alternative text (being addressed progressively). Some imported tables may lack complete header markup. Third-party embedded content cannot be guaranteed accessible. Linked PDFs are not guaranteed to be accessible.

6. EU-Based Readers
